Job Description

This is a part time instructor position in the Adult Education Department for classes in fall semester starting August 2021 in Quincy, IL.  This position is a non-tenure track serving in a temporary or auxiliary capacity to teach specific courses on a course-by-course basis.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The instructor’s duties will be to teach Adult Basic Education courses using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner in a classroom setting. Responsibilities include planning lessons and curriculum based on the learning needs of multi-skill level students to prepare students for high school equivalency testing and/or enhance basic education skills. Classes meet Monday through Thursday mornings in Quincy beginning August 16, 2021.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Adult Education Instructor position requires a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field. Current teaching certification and experience working with adults is preferred.
