Job Description

The Quincy Kroc Center is seeking candidates for a part-time Child Watch Attendant position working up to 19 hours/week. The hours for this position are primarily evening and weekends.  Some holidays may be required.

The Child Watch Attendant is responsible for the safety, care and wellbeing of the children in the Kroc Center Child Watch Area.  Attendants will follow the policies and procedures of the center regarding personal conduct and security, as well as demonstrate a true desire to work and play with children.

This job description is not all inclusive.  It is intended to identify the essential duties of the position. Other duties, responsibilities and tasks may be assigned at the discretion of management.

  1. Provide great customer service to the community; see that all Kroc customers, clients and members are given prompt and courteous service. Relate joyfully and sensitively to everyone.
  2. Follow all policies and procedures. Practice vigilant supervision at all times.  Ensure that staff policy and rules are clear and followed by volunteers.
  3. Maintain progressive knowledge of all programs and facilities.
  4. Handle security and crisis situations calmly in accordance with procedures.
  5. Create, maintain and secure child watch member paperwork.

Education & Certifications:  High School Diploma or GED equivalency is a plus.

Experience:  Experience working with children is preferred.  Combination of education and related work experience will be considered.
