Associate Faculty – Office Technology Medical Option

Job Description

This is an Associate Faculty position in the Office Technology department.  Associate Faculty positions are non-tenure track faculty serving in a temporary or auxiliary capacity to teach specific courses on a course-by-course basis.  Position begins August 2022.

This position will be responsible for teaching one day per week from 5:00 to 7:00pm in an open learning format.  Courses covered in the open learning center include:

• OFT 284 Medical Coding – ICD
• OFT 285 Medical Coding – CPT

Other temporary teaching assignments in the computer science and office technology department may be available.

QUALIFICATIONS

• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certificate

OR

• CCA (Certified Coding Associate) certificate

AND

• 2000 hours of medical coding work experience required. Teaching experience is preferred but not required.
