Job Description

This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position that reports to the Dean of CTE and is located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois.  Position begins immediately.

Under the direction of the Dean of Career and Technical Education, the Director will develop and assist in improving programming which includes conducting program reviews and academic assessments, investigating new programs of study, and assisting faculty with curriculum changes.  Responsibilities include attending career fairs, advisory council meetings, and other CTE recruitment events.  This person will also assist the Dean in supervising associate faculty.  The Director will serve as the Perkins Administrator providing support services to qualified students and serving as a liaison for CTE programs with internal and external departments.  The Director will also investigate and provide narrative and budget detail for new grant opportunities and may serve as the grant administrator for various grants.  Some evening work hours are required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Five years of teaching or experience in higher education preferred.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Experience conducting program reviews, academic assessments, and budget and grant management preferred.

 

SALARY
