Job Description

This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position that reports to the Director of Admissions and is located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, IL. Position begins immediately.

This position coordinates recruitment of adult students which includes counseling prospective students on admissions, financial aid, available support, academic programs, and careers. The coordinator is expected to be active and visible in the community including events and presentations at community organizations. Other duties include managing adult scholarships; coordinating adult scholarship competition events; maintaining relationships with community businesses and workforce organizations; maintaining updated funding information available to students; and attending college fairs, community, and JWCC events. This position will include some evening and weekend hours to meet the needs of our adult students.



Bachelor’s degree recommended and three to five years of experience preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry is necessary. The successful candidate must be self-driven, have strong customer service and organizational skills, have the ability to multi-task, have strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. Preference will be given to those with a proven background in customer service, sales experience, and the ability to track and meet goals.



Salary range begins at $33,696.
