Job Description

This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt, grant-funded position located on the John Wood Community College Campus in Quincy, IL working with Adams, Brown and Pike Counties.  Position begins mid-March 2022.



This position is responsible for the AmeriCorps Seniors – Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) in Adams, Brown and Pike Counties, Illinois.  RSVP engages persons 55 years of age and older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs.  The manager will supervise and train staff and volunteers; represent JWCC and RSVP related programs to the three-county area; provide volunteer management and develop relationships with non-profits and related agencies; manage federal, state and local grants and pursue additional funding sources.  Preparation and submission of grant applications, grant reports and budgets are included in the duties.  The manager supervises RSVP staff and volunteers in JWCC locations in Quincy, Mt. Sterling and Pittsfield.



This position requires a bachelor’s degree with preference for experience working with grants and budgets in a non-profit environment.  Applicants should have supervisory experience and hold a valid driver’s license as travel throughout Adams, Brown and Pike Counties is required.  Must be available for overnight state and national trainings and work some evenings and weekends.  A Criminal History Background Check must be completed before person can begin working.
