Director of Nursing
Subject to management approval, directs, plans, coordinates, reviews, and evaluates facility wide operations associated with nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Health Office, Contractual Nursing, and Health care Services. Supervises staff and services for compliance with Department of Human Services (DHS) policies; Fox Center policies and procedures, Healthcare and Family (HFS) regulations, Public Health Standards, Nurse Practice Act, and other applicable laws and regulations.
Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse In the State of Illinois with a Bachelor’s degree In nursing and four years progressively responsible nursing experience, or a Master’s degree in nursing with two years progressively responsible nursing experience. Requires thorough understanding of the Nurse Practice Act. Requires thorough knowledge of professional nursing theory and practices and recent developments in the field of nursing, particularly as It applies to mental health/psychiatric nursing; requires thorough knowledge of education techniques used in training nurses. Requires extensive knowledge of agency policies and procedures. Requires the ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Anticipated Starting annual salary range: $85,000.00 – $115,00.00
HOURS OF WORK:
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Monday – Friday Weekends/holidays off
Other days/shifts as assigned or required Administrator on Duty rotation
