Job Description



The Clinic Coordinator works in collaboration with members of the medical team to provide general health maintenance and prevention of disease to Family Planning Inc. (FP) dba Pathway Health Clinic (PHC) patients. Care provided is based on protocols approved by the Medical Director(s).  The Clinic Coordinator assists with supervision of the daily clinical operations, activities, and medical personnel in the delivery of patient care.  Work in collaboration with the Executive Director to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, safety, and compliance standards are met.




  • LPN or RN Degree in nursing from a school accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission or American Association of Colleges of Nursing is required.
  • Possess a current license to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
  • 2 years of experience as a supervisor or educator preferably in public health program.
  • Knowledge of computerized Electronic Health Record (EHR); experience with Ahlers Practice Suite preferred
  • Excellent public relations skills with the ability to interact with physicians, patients, and staff successfully and positively.
  • Knowledge of:
    • needs of clients regarding sexuality
    • family planning concepts
    • family and interpersonal relationships
    • clinic function and ability to work in conjunction with other clinic personnel
    • community health resources for alternate health services

The Clinic Coordinator will have the ability to interpret, evaluate and communicate detailed written or verbal instructions to others accurately and quickly. Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 15 pounds for the dissemination of documents, supplies, materials, etc. to various locations throughout the office/facility.  In addition, this person will have the ability to communicate effectively (expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken or written word.) and to manage, organize, prioritize workload and work in numerous projects/tasks at one time. Possess a positive can-do attitude that is adaptable to change. Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure. Views problem as a challenge, not an obstacle and develops solutions. Insures needs of the patients, client and vendors are met.  Presents caring image to the public both in and outside of the clinic. Respects the level of learning of co-workers and through action displays major concern and interest in the company’s wellbeing dealing with both tangible and intangible matters. Organizational skills required and the ability to pay attention to details necessary.
