A window of opportunity is open for individuals seeking meaningful careers with a strong, people-focused company headquartered in the nation heartland! 3rd Shift Hours: Monday-Thursday: 10pm-6:30am Overtime:Friday night as needed Maintenance Technician Diagnose and repair all electrical and mechanical problems in assigned area and to have the flexibility to help in other areas of the plant when required. Other duties assigned by department manager as needed. Must successfully acquire a Forklift Operation Certificate through a training course. Essential Job Functions *Diagnose and repair all electrical and mechanical problems in assigned area *Troubleshoot and repair sawdust collection, compressed air, and electrical distribution systems *Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures *Regular/dependable attendance required *Flexibility of work hours including overtime to get production back in operation *Able to work with and around moving equipment *Must maintain a PIV license Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requirements and Qualifications *High school diploma or equivalency *Manufacturing-related experience is preferred *Job specific experience preferred *Ability to work with minimal supervision *Ability to work with internal and external customers *Read and interpret blueprints and maintenance instructions *Read and interpret documents, safety rules, and procedure manuals *Excellent written and oral communication skills *Excellent computer skills *Proficient mechanical and math aptitude *Electrical Skills (110V  480V); troubleshooting, installation, PLC *Welding, Motor Controls and Pneumatics/Hydraulics *Knowledge of basic electricity, PLCs, Welding, Motor Controls and Pneumatics/Hydraulics *Safety awareness *Quality awareness *Accuracy and attention to detail *Decision making/problem solving skills *Time management skills
