This is a part-time position that reports to the Director of Advising and Retention and is located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois.
This position is responsible for identifying and providing direct services to JWCC students who are ineligible for other academic success programs on campus. To enhance and improve the quality of the student academic experience, services may include study skills, time management, connections to tutoring, and online course navigation. This position will assist students in connecting with college and community resources, such as career and college planning, financial aid, disability services, and the library. Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining necessary documentation regarding interaction and student progress.
Bachelor’s degree is a related field is recommended. Two years of experience with community college success programing, plus knowledge of online learning platforms and student services is preferred. Applicants must have excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to relate well to a diverse population, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
