Job Description

This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Director of the Physical Plant and is located at the JWCC campus in Quincy, IL. Position begins immediately.

This position will perform a variety of maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms; cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping; emptying trash and recyclables; replacing light bulbs; assisting with facility setups and tear downs; minor grounds keeping as needed; and snow and ice removal. In addition, the Custodial Services Lead will direct the work of the custodial team, assist the director with approval of leave and performance reviews; maintain supplies and materials; and ensure appropriate scheduling for building custodial coverage.



An associate degree and/or 2-4 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role is preferred. Custodial experience is required. The successful candidate must have experience with computers and Microsoft Office to use email, the Internet, and utilize internal software for time sheets.



Minimum starting salary will be no less than $16.00 per hour.
