Job Description

This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt position that reports to the Dean of CTE and is located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois.  Position begins immediately.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Dean of CTE and the various programs in the CTE area on the Quincy Campus.  The Administrative Specialist will provide direct Perkins’s student support functions such as the processing of student applications, communications with students, and providing approved support services.

 

This position will also assist with the identification of new educational offerings for adult and youth programs; entering non-credit course in Banner and the enrollment of students; tracking student payment records; and providing customer service at the CTE welcoming desk.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree with 2 to 4 years of related experience preferred.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office and office technology equipment.  Applicants must have excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to relate well to a diverse population, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

 

SALARY

Salary range begins at $15.00 per hour.
