Job Description

This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt position that reports to the Dean of CTE and is located at the Agriculture Sciences Complex located at 37803 St. Hwy.104, Baylis, Illinois.  Position begins immediately.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for providing administrative support for faculty and staff located at the Agriculture Science Complex.  Duties include:

  • Assist with scheduling courses and assigning rooms for all activities held at the complex
  • Oversee maintenance and housekeeping issues related to the complex
  • Assist with student success navigation by assisting with routine student questions
  • Coordinate and assist in student activities such as scholarship events, Ag club events, Ag advisory council meetings, Ag alumni events, career events and tours of the agriculture facility
  • Daily point of contact for U of I extension, Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), and other agencies using the facility to coordinate activities and programs

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree with 1 to 2 years of related experience preferred. Applicants must have knowledge of Microsoft Office and other office technology equipment, excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to relate well to a diverse population, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

SALARY

Minimum starting salary will be no less than $14.00 per hour.
