Northeast Missouri Electric Power Cooperative (Northeast Power) is actively seeking a professional for the position of Telecommunications Technician at the Palmyra, Missouri, location. Northeast Power is a transmission cooperative delivering power to northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa. Northeast Power is a drug-free workplace and this position is classified as “safety sensitive. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about working with their hands and working out-of-doors to provide quality communication services to Northeast Power facilities in northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa, and to the headquarters facilities in Palmyra. What You Will Do: • Install and maintain telecommunications system, analog, digital or fiber communications equipment  Maintain the Cooperative’s communications equipment at the headquarters in Palmyra  Stay current with regulations essential to the operation, maintenance and construction of telecommunications system

What We Are Looking For:  An Associate degree in electronics, or equivalent, and minimum five (5) years experience in two-way radio, microwave or fiber optic system maintenance • A candidate to install and troubleshoot new and legacy telecommunications equipment with limited supervision  Excellent mechanical and technical skills; use of specialized tools, listening and communication skills  Experience with computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office products; familiar with Windows based software  Able to lift and/or carry up-to 50-pounds, good eye-hand coordination, work from height including towers, preferred  Ability to obtain and maintain, a Commercial Drivers License Class A with no Restrictions after hire  Proficient in spoken and written English  Able to pass background screening

This is a non-exempt position with full benefits package and is based in Palmyra, Missouri. Medical insurance, life insurance and long term disability insurance begin on first day of work. Pension and 401k plan following one year eligibility. Other benefits available.
