Rob Hodgson Appointed Director of Support Services at John Wood Community College
Rob Hodgson has been appointed director of support services at John Wood Community College.
As director, Hodgson is responsible for administering the U.S. Department of Education TRiO grant programs (Educational Talent Search, Student Support Services and Upward Bound) and JWCC disability services. He will submit grant reports and direct staff to provide services to participants according to grant guidelines and evaluate results. In addition he will maintain partnerships within the community and College to assist students in need. TRiO Grant programs work with students who are first generation college bound, low income or disabled.
Hodgson previously served as a TRiO Educational Talent Search supervisor. He joined the College in 2011 as a retention advisor. He also serves as an advisor for JWCC Student Veterans and Publication clubs and instructs a First Year Experience course for freshman students. Prior to joining JWCC, Hodgson was a floor supervisor for Shopko.
Hodgson holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in education from Western Illinois University.
