John Wood Community College recently announced recipients of the 2013 Faculty and Staff Member of the Year awards.  Those honored include the following: 

Saxton joined the College in January 2011 as an Todd SaxtonEnglish instructor.  He earned a master’s degree in English with a writing emphasis from Western Illinois University.  Saxton was previously employed by Unity High School as an English teacher and served as a member of JWCC’s associate faculty.



Bill HysellHysell joined JWCC in 2011 as a campus police officer.  In his 49 years of law enforcement experience, Hysell worked for the Hernando County Florida Sherriff’s office and as an investigator for the Texas Attorney General’s Office.  He has a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Christian University and graduated from The National Crime Prevention Institute at the University of Louisville. 



Landis has been with the College since 1975 Bev Landisas an administrative assistant and an associate faculty member in the office technology department since 2000.  She earned an associate degree from JWCC and a bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University.




Anne ScottScott started at the College in 2001 as test room monitor and continues to hold that position.
