JWCC Students to Present Spring Concert
Audiences will be treated to vocal and instrumental selections performed by talented area students at John Wood Community College’s Fine Arts Department Spring Music Concert on Friday, April 28, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the Mary Ellen Orr Auditorium on the Quincy campus.
JWCC’s Band and Vocal Show Ensemble will perform a showcase of pieces and staged scenes from musicals such as Showboat, Avenue Q, West Side Story, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. Pop hits by ABBA, Queen and Pentatonix will also be performed. Admission is $5.00 for adults. Students are admitted free of charge. Proceeds from the event will support the groups’ tours.
The vocal show ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Steven Soebbing, JWCC music and theatre instructor, and the band is under the direction of Keith Wiemelt.
