Global Futurist to be Keynote Speaker at Tri-State Business & Industry Innovation Summit

Acclaimed global futurist, speaker and best-selling author Jack Uldrich will present the keynote address at the Tri-State Business and Innovation Summit on March 14. The event will provide companies in Illinois, Missouri and Iowa an opportunity to learn more about emerging trends, training and technology.

Uldrich will provide an in-depth exploration of how the “Internet of Things,” “Big Data,” social media, robotics, biotechnology, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, renewable energy and “collaborative consumption” will change everyday life for all of us in the very near future. He will also provide insight on future trends, emerging technologies, innovation, change management and leadership.

 Uldrich has authored eleven books, including a number of award-winning best sellers. He is a frequent speaker on technology, change management and leadership and has address hundreds of corporations, associations and not-for-profit organizations on five continents. He regularly makes television appearances on the Science Channel’s “FutureScape” program and the Discovery Channel show “Inside Out,” and is a frequent guest on major media outlets, including CNN, CNBC and National Public Radio. He is also an ongoing contributor on emerging technologies and future trends for a number of publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Wired Magazine and BusinessWeek.

 Uldruch is a former naval intelligence officer and Defense Department official, and previously served as the director of the Minnesota Office of Strategic and Long-Range Planning.

 

The summit will feature breakout sessions on logistics, digital manufacturing and design, cyber security, corporate culture, market intelligence, career pathways and youth talent pipeline, and supply chain management. Attendees will have the opportunity to network during the event and take part in a small group discussion to learn how some manufacturers and businesses apply new technology in daily operations.

The summit will take place at JWCC’s Heath Center from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost for the event is $50 including lunch. The event is open to leaders and employees from small to large size businesses and industries.
