New JWCC Online Class Focuses on Equine Science
John Wood Community College will offer a new agriculture course in the upcoming spring semester. “Introduction to Equine Science” will be offered as a personal interest course for community members or as an elective course for agriculture students.
The course will focus on the principles of equine care and management, including breed identification, training, evaluation, selection, feeding, reproduction and physiology of equine animals. Particular attention will be paid to the feeding and training of horses and the role of the equine industry.
