JWCC to Offer Excel Classes in Quincy
John Wood Community College is accepting registrations for Excel Level I and II classes in Quincy as part of its Business and Industry Training. The classes will be taught by Beth Bower and will meet in room A122 on the Quincy campus, located at 1301 S. 48thStreet.
Excel Level I course will meet on Wednesdays, March 20 and 27, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The course will cover general uses of a spreadsheet by offering hands-on examples of entering and editing various types of data. Topics covered include changing the workbook view, working with blocks, adjusting column width and row height, entering formulas and working with function arguments.
Excel Level II will meet Wednesdays, April 3 and 10, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This hands-on course is an extension of the Excel Level I class, and will cover such topics as finding and replacing data, consolidating data, importing/exporting, using block names, advanced functions, creating a database, conditional formatting, pivot tables and pivot charts and advanced chart options.
