JWCC to Provide GED Orientations for Classes in Quincy, Mt. Sterling and Pittsfield
John Wood Community College will offer free GED orientations in Quincy, Mt. Sterling and Pittsfield in March. The orientations will provide information on JWCC’s free GED classes offered through the JWCC Adult Education program, which helps students prepare for the high school equivalency GED test. The program also provides assistance with career planning, job skills, and transitioning to college. All GED students will need to attend an orientation before attending classes.
Orientation dates are scheduled at the Quincy campus for Monday, March 2, at 5:00 p.m. in room D115 and on Monday, March 9, at 9:00 a.m., also in room D115. The Quincy campus is located at 1301 S. 48th Street. An orientation will be held at the Southeast Education Center on Tuesday, March 3 at 9:00 a.m. The SEC is located at 39637 260th Street north of Pittsfield. The Mt. Sterling Education Center will host an orientation on Tuesday, March 3 at 5:00 p.m. The center is located at 108 N. Capitol Street.
A one-stop orientation will be held on Tuesday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Quincy Workforce Center, located at 107 N. 3rd Street in Quincy.
Classes will meet in Quincy on Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to noon or 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Quincy campus. An afternoon class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Quincy Workforce Center.
Pittsfield classes meet from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Southeast Education Center. Classes in Mt. Sterling meet from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Mt. Sterling Education Center.
