JWCC Ag Alumni Association Sponsors Golf Outing Fundraiser

John Wood Community College’s Agriculture Alumni Association will host its 24th annual golf outing Friday, July 8, at Arrowhead Heights Golf Course in Camp Point, IL.

The 18-hole, flighted-competition with 4-person teams costs $65 a player or $260 for a team; receives two mulligans per person, cart rental, green fees and a pork chop meal is included. Teams will have the option to participate in Skins (as a team) for an additional charge of $40.00. A 50/50 raffle drawing will be available for those interested in participating.

Teams select either an A.M. or P.M. tee time with a shotgun start. Registration takes place at 7:00 a.m. with 7:30 a.m. start for the A.M. or 12:00 p.m. with 12:30 p.m. start for the P.M.

Tournament and hole sponsors are also welcomed to assist with the fundraising activity. Tournament sponsors could provide supplies for meals, goody bags, prizes or naming opportunities.  A hole sponsorship is a $100.00 donation for a sign with company or sponsor logo.

The event is both a social gathering and the primary fundraiser for the association. The funds from the event are used to help support the JWCC Agricultural Sciences programs such as the Invitational Livestock Judging Contest and Ag Sciences Open House. The alumni also provide direct support to students by providing scholarship awards, sponsoring Ag Club events, PAS Team and Livestock Judging Team and Women Changing the Face of Agriculture activities.

To join the fun and or support the event, contact the JWCC Agricultural Education Center at 217.641.4558 or ag@jwcc.edu by June 24.
