As part of John Wood Community College’s outreach with business and workforce partners, the college will host a lunch and learn program, Microsoft Office 365 Secrets, on Wednesday, October 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at JWCC’s Workforce Development Center, located at 4220 Kochs Lane in Quincy.

Participants will be shown how to use hidden features and bonus apps that will help them save money and get the most from their Microsoft 365 subscription. Other topics to be covered include extending teams to external meetings and demos, using Word for the web to automatically transcribe meetings and phone conferences for free, using Sway to create newsletters, social media content, marketing materials and training docs, streamlining meeting and appointment scheduling with Microsoft Bookings, creating a simple company knowledge base with OneNote, and automating common tasks with Power Automate.

The workshop will be presented by Andrew Skattebo with BrickStreet Data Systems. Participants will be asked to wear face coverings to enter and social distancing will be maintained. Cost for the lunch and learn is $25, which includes lunch and training handouts. Contact Kelly Lewis, JWCC workforce development specialist, at 217.641.4971 to register.
