Registration: Registration forms may be submitted online, via mail, in person or by calling 217.641.4941. Payment in full must be received before students are officially registered in a class. Credit or debit card payments are the easiest and most efficient way to secure your registration.
Register online and call 217.641.4941 with credit/debit card payment.
Payment Options: Cash, check or credit/debit card. Payments must be made through the JWCC Business Office, located in the Student/Administrative Center or by calling 217.641.4211. JWCC’s Business Office hours are 8am-5pm Monday – Thursday and 8am -12pm on Friday.
Registration Confirmation: Registration is confirmed after payment is completed. Students will receive a course schedule by email or mail with class details.
Cancellation: Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment standards are subject to cancellation. Community-Based Outreach reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes, and will notify students as soon as possible. Students enrolled in a cancelled class will be given a full refund.
Class Locations: Unless otherwise noted, all classes are held at the JWCC Quincy Campus. The specific classroom location is detailed on the student course schedule.
Refund Policy: Unless otherwise noted in advance, a student who notifies Community-Based Outreach (CBO) of their desire to drop or inability to attend a class no later than three business days prior to the day of the seminar or class will receive a 100 percent refund. A full refund will be provided if the class is cancelled due to low enrollment, instructor cancellation, or inclement weather. No other refunds will be given.
Inclement Weather: When the college is closed or classes are cancelled due to inclement weather, Community-Based Outreach classes will also be cancelled. If classes are cancelled, local radio and TV stations will be notified, a message will be placed on John Wood’s website, and an announcement will be recorded on the JWCC Weather Line (217.641.4100). Community-Based Outreach makes every effort to ensure that students are aware of cancellations related to inclement weather.
Accommodations: Participants with physical disabilities requiring special accommodations should indicate needs when registering. JWCC will do our best to meet your needs.
Regarding COVID-19: JWCC continues to proactively develop and implement plans following the recommendations and mandates issued by local, state and national government agencies. JWCC’s main objective is always to provide a safe environment for our students, faculty, staff and our community. Learn more at:
