SGA Election Information

Elections take place in the spring. Please stop by the SGA office for the election timeline.

Any student interested in running for an executive officer role must complete the following information and return to the Student Life Center D104.


  • Election Application available: Monday, February 16th at SGA meeting

  • Letter of Intent & Application due: Monday, March 2nd, 2015 (D104) by 5pm

  • Election rules meeting (mandatory for all candidates):

                    Wednesday, March 4th at 4pm OR Thursday, March 5th at 4pm

  • Candidate’s Forum: Monday, March 16th at 4pm (no BAT meetings, attendance required by ALL SGA members)

  • Campaign Week: Monday, March 17th at 5pm through Wednesday, April 1st, 2015 at 5pm

  • Voting: April 6th-9th.  (Paper ballot by the bookstore lounge)

  • Candidate’s Breakfast: Monday, April 13th at 8am in the Student Life Office

  • Winners announced: Monday, April 13th by noon.

  • Shadow meeting : Monday, April 13th (new officers shadow outgoing officers at April meeting)

  • New officers sworn in: Monday, May 4th at End of Year Banquet

  • New officers introduced to Board of Trustees: Wednesday, May 20th
