John Wood Community College (JWCC) has expanded its commitment to providing access to education and career training for underserved students by opening a new location at the Bella Ease Community Complex. This new facility, located at 707 Broadway in Quincy, allows JWCC to better serve the community by offering a range of educational programs and services in collaboration with Bella Ease, a non-profit organization dedicated to community, family, youth, and employment services.

Programs and Services

At the Bella Ease location, JWCC will provide a variety of programs designed to meet the educational and career training needs of the community, including:

• GED and Adult Literacy Programs: Offering foundational education services to help individuals prepare for the GED test and improve literacy skills.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Courses: Training individuals for a career in healthcare through state-certified nursing assistant programs.
• Truck Driver Training: Support class for students taking Truck Driver Training courses at JWCC’s Workforce Development Center.
• Academic and Career Support Services: JWCC staff will be available on-site to provide academic advising, career exploration assistance, and financial aid support.

These offerings are made possible through state grants aimed at expanding educational opportunities that lead to family-sustaining careers in high-demand fields. In addition to the programs offered, JWCC’s partnership with Bella Ease will ensure that community members have access to a wide range of support services to help them succeed in their educational and career pursuits.
