Special Events

Trail Blazer DayTrail Blazer Visit Day

Prospective students and their families are invited to visit the College, meet professors and students and learn about academic programs and student life activities.

Students and their parents or families will tour the campus, learn about scholarships and financial aid, hear about JWCC’s 30 academic majors, learn where JWCC graduates transfer or begin employment and have the opportunity to interact with current students.

Parents of prospective students will also have the opportunity to hear from parents of current JWCC students as well as College administrators and faculty during a panel discussion.

JDUB Day photoJDUB Day

High school juniors explore John Wood on JDUB Day. Students must receive an excused absence from their high school guidance counselor to attend.

JDUB Day includes:

  • Scavenger Hunt of JWCC (Prizes for the winning team)
  • Prizes for best photos using #JDUBDAY(Twitter, Instagram and Facebook)
  • Meet JWCC Faculty
  • Free Lunch
  • Free T-shirt
  • Photo Booth
  • An opportunity to meet other students from area high schools
