Automation, robotics, and welding positions offer household sustaining salaries for those with the right skills, yet regional companies are struggling to find qualified candidates.  John Wood Community College and Two Rivers Regional Council are hoping to train more individuals to meet those needs.

An open house is set for Tuesday, August 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. at JWCC’s Workforce Development Center at 2710 North 42nd street for interested people to learn about the programs as well as tuition funding that may be available from Two Rivers for those who qualify. No appointment is necessary for the event.
