Presidential and Trail Blazer Scholarships – Deadline February 12, 2024:

JWCC invites high-achieving individuals with a GPA over 3.0 to apply for the Presidential and Trail Blazer Scholarships. These scholarships are designed for leaders who excel both in and out of the classroom, serving as ambassadors of their school and community representatives. The Presidential Scholarship is the most prestigious at JWCC, requires a 3.75 GPA, and is sponsored by the JWCC Foundation. The deadline for applications is February 12, 2024. Eligible students can access the application form at www.jwcc.edu/presblazerscholarships.

Fine Arts Department Scholarships – Visual Arts and Music Performance:

JWCC’s Fine Arts Department offers full or half-tuition scholarships for students demonstrating excellence in Visual Arts and Music Performance. These scholarships are open to talented individuals looking to participate in JWCC performing ensembles or showcase their visual arts skills, regardless of their chosen academic major.

Visual Arts Scholarships – Portfolio Reviews:

JWCC encourages students interested in visual arts to present their portfolios for scholarship opportunities. Portfolios serve as a record of artistic learning and personal achievements, enhancing transfer opportunities and potential scholarship awards. Visual arts faculty are available to assist students in preparing portfolios for scholarship opportunities. For more information on portfolio reviews, students can contact Austin Roberts at aroberts@jwcc.edu or 217.641.4999.

Music Performance Scholarships – Audition Required:

Audition dates are Friday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 11a.m. and Thursday, April 11, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Students can email Dr. Steven Soebbing at ssoebbing@jwcc.edu for specific appointments during those times.  Students who cannot audition on designated dates can request an audition by completing the form at www.jwcc.edu/programs/fine-arts/scholarships.
