JWCC Hosts Family Boost Fair Community Event on July 18

John Wood Community College will host a Family Boost Fair this Tuesday, July 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., located at the Ray and Joan Kroc Center at 405 Vermont St. in Quincy.  This free, community event is open to the public and intended to support parents and families by bringing community resources in the areas of education, health, employment, and family into one space.

More than twenty community agencies and organizations will have interactive booths at the fair to share information and services. Fair attendees will enjoy activities, free lunch, and a chance to win prizes including a laptop.

“As we work with adults starting or going back to college, we often talk about the broad level of support it takes for them to take courses while raising a family,” JWCC Coordinator of Adult Admissions Melissa Hess shared.  “Our community has incredible support services to help families and parents thrive, but it is often found in several locations. This event brings them all together in one space so prospective adult students and all families can see what this community can do to help them thrive and improve their quality of life.”
