JWCC Foundation to Host 4Th Annual Wine Pull Fundraiser for Student Support

The John Wood Community College Foundation will host a Wine Pull fundraiser Thursday, September 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Quincy Country Club.

Tickets are on sale now to continue the tradition of this popular community event. Proceeds will support JWCC students. The cost is $50 per person, which includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, carving stations and desserts. A cash bar will be available.

The evening will feature exquisite wines, extraordinary food, music, friendship, and the fun element of a Wine Pull, which is a drawing for a bottle of surprise-wrapped wine. Guests can purchase a cork to then “pull” a bottle of wine from the rack. Each pull costs $25 or two pulls may be purchased for $40.  Wines range in value from $15 to several hundred dollars.

New this year for participants of the event will be a chance to win 10-year-old bottle of Rip Van Winkle of bourbon for $20 a chance.

Contact Barb Holthaus, JWCC Foundation Executive Director, for tickets or to be a sponsor at 217.641.4105, foundation@jwcc.edu.  More information may also be found at www.jwccfoundation.org.
