JWCC Presents Holiday Concert on December 2

Audiences will be treated to a wide variety of holiday vocal and instrumental selections performed by talented area students at John Wood Community College’s Fine Arts Department Holiday Music Concert.  The annual event is set for Friday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the JWCC Paul Heath Center Mary Ellen Orr Auditorium on the Quincy campus at 48th and Harrison.

JWCC’s Concert Choir, Band and Vocal Show Ensemble will perform a showcase of traditional holiday pieces and staged scenes from musicals such as Thoroughly Modern Millie, Waitress and City of Angels.  Admission is free of charge. Monetary donations will be accepted at the door event night with the proceeds going to support students’ musical tours and activities.

The concert choir and vocal show ensemble are under the direction of Dr. Steven Soebbing and the band is under the direction of Jessica Snider.
