JWCC to Host Blazer Bash Family Focused Community Event September 30

John Wood Community College will host Blazer Bash, a free community event for families and people of all ages on Saturday, September 30th. The event is outside from 12p-2p, on the Quincy Campus at 48th & Harrison.

The event will feature a free lunch and a variety of family and interactive activities such as a bounce house, face painting, big trucks, fire truck, patrol car, tractors, games and interactive projects with the Quincy Art Center and Quincy Children’s Museum.

JWCC admissions staff, human resources, and instructors for various academic and career/technical programs will also be on hand to provide information, details on JWCC job opportunities and interactive activities.

Vendors offering drinks and wares will include Shandi’s Coffee & Creams, Sweet P Petals and KC’s Tropical Sno.

At 2 p.m. the JWCC Men’s Soccer Team will play Heartland Community College at Quincy Recycle Field on the JWCC campus.

Community members at the Bash who have attended JWCC are welcome to join the Trail Blazer Network to connect with the College, students, and instructors as part of the College’s 50th anniversary kickoff.  More information on the network and anniversary can be found at www.jwccfoundation.org/50years.
