John Wood Community College will present a series of live webinars to provide information to students and their families as they consider higher education opportunities.
“JDUB Live” will present its first webinar on Thursday, April 30, at 7:00 p.m. “Checking All the Boxes!” will cover current trends students are facing and how to best navigate during college preparation. The webinar will be presented by Kristen Ritterbusch, director of admissions, Tracy Orne, dean of students and enrollment management, and Jaelyn Likes, a current JWCC student from Bluffs, Ill.
Each webinar will allow time for viewers to ask questions before or during the program. All the webinars are free, although registration is required.
“Presenting these live webinars will give us a chance to respond directly to prospective students who are questioning the right path they need to take,” said Ritterbusch. “With the COVID-19 stay at home order, we are working to provide alternatives to keep the lines of communication open.”
Upcoming webinars will focus on different topics of importance to students, including the cost of college, careers, starting a bachelor’s degree, a look at online learning, and an all-student panel to provide insight from their perspective. Each webinar will be presented live on Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. and will be recorded for those who miss it.
