A broad spectrum of career opportunities exists for graduates of JWCC’s Agriculture Business Management program. In fact, with the recent surge of prospective employers and internship supervisors requesting JWCC agribusiness students, career opportunities currently exceed the number of program graduates.  Career areas in the food, fiber, natural resource, and energy industries include:  Biotechnology/Research, Education/Communications, Animal/Crop Production, Sales/Service, Credit/Finance, Marketing/Distribution, Business Management, and Natural Resource Management.

  • Entry-level salaries after completion of a two-year degree generally range from $25,000 to $40,000, with plenty of opportunity for advancement.
  • Companies such as Growmark, FS, MFA, Crop Production Services, and Monsanto are examples of current employers hiring JWCC graduates of the ABM program.
  • Graduates have also gained employment in teaching, banking, grain merchandising, and business records and analysis.
