Comeback Scholarship

The Comeback Full Tuition Scholarship

Only available in the 2023-2024 academic year

A select group of students is eligible for the Comeback Scholarship from John Wood Community College.

To qualify for the Comeback Scholarship:

  • Complete the form on this page to start the process to claim your award.
  • You must have been identified as eligible by JWCC and will have recently received a letter.
  • Complete your 2023-24 FAFSA
  • Verify the FAFSA is complete with JWCC’s Financial Aid Team
  • Schedule an appointment with Academic Advisor Sara Deters to get registered for classes.

The Comeback Scholarship covers tuition costs remaining after your FAFSA funds are applied – essentially a full tuition scholarship that will allow you to finish strong and set yourself up for success! This is a one-time-only scholarship, available starting in the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 terms (as long as funding is available) and is only being offered to a select group of people.

It is important to note that while you have been selected to be eligible for this scholarship, there is a limited amount of funds available. The Comeback Scholarship is to be awarded on a first come, first serve basis starting Fall 2023. To indicate your interest in this scholarship and in finishing your degree, please complete the form to the right.

The time to cross the finish line has come, and we sincerely hope you take advantage of this one-time-only award to finish your degree. I hope to welcome you back to the Trail Blazer family.  As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions — Text or call 217.393.8400.
