This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks correlated to the general care and education of students K-6th grade at the Blessing Remote Learning Center. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. It is expected that you keep students on task, aide them in utilizing their devices, and encourage their success in remote learning. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4 hours DCFS training annually.
High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
Meets Illinois Department of Children and Family Services requirements for Student Mentor position.
Upon hire and every two years: physical exam per state requirements
Upon hire: Background check as required by State of Illinois.
