Part-time Instructor, Truck Driver Training

Job Description

JWCC is seeking part-time instructors in the Transportation Department.

This course is designed to develop the basic skills needed by an entry-level truck driver. Responsibilities for the instructor include the “hands-on” portion of the Truck Driver Training program including vehicles inspections, maneuvering on the driving range (backing, shifting, other skills), and behind-the-wheel training in both city and highway environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School/GED with three (3) years of experience in the trucking industry required. Knowledge of the industry, practices, and regulations. Other required qualifications include:

• Licensed for three (3) consecutive years with a valid Class A CDL and no restrictions,
• Clean driving record, and
• Ability to obtain DOT Medical Examiner Certificate and pass DOT drug screen.
