Job Summary

Hollister Whitney is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, who will report to the manufacturing Engineering Manager. The Intern should be pursuing a degree in Engineering Technology or related fields (see below).

Job Duties

Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct cycle time studies over various processes
  • Compile drawings, routing, BOM data by machine type and process
  • Consolidate data into a data base
  • Analyze, define, and recommend improvement activities (short, mid, long term)
  • Supports CI projects in various capacities
  • Report and communicate progress

IIOT/ Predictive Maintenance

  • Support IIOT transformation activities (hardware, software)
  • Crates enhanced machine asset list with information needed for IIOT
  • CMMS data base management (input data collection)
  • Establish and maintain single list of issues and drive project completion
  • Report and communicate progress

Work Conditions

  • Working in a busy manufacturing environment with frequent interruptions
  • Risk of injury on manufacturing floor
  • Occasional overtime if needed

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering Technology, Applied Manufacturing Technology, Robotics, or alike.
  • Manufacturing background preferred
  • Understanding of MRP/ERP principles required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Basic skills CAD system preferred
  • Willing to perform other relevant job duties as required
