This is a part-time, 12-month, non-exempt position that reports to the Director of Advising and Retention and is located at the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois. Position begins immediately.
This position is responsible to provide advice and counsel to students regarding the pursuit of their educational goals. This position will work with a variety of student populations including both transfer bound students and CTHE students pursuing a credential to directly enter the workforce. The advisor’s role is to work with each student to create an academic plan that best suits their educational goals, provide advice regarding college policies, procedures, and resources, and work to retain their respective student population.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree recommended with Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two to four years of related experience preferred.
