- Transporting goods over long distances, often across state lines.
- Operating and maintaining a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
- Loading and unloading cargo.
- Communicating with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers.
- Completing logs and reports as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
