Requesting a JWCC transcript

JWCC has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide transcript ordering via the web using a credit or debit card.  If you do not have a credit or debit card, you can use a prepaid Visa or MasterCard gift card to place your order.  To ensure a successful transaction, make sure the amount available on the gift card is equal to or greater than the amount you estimate your transcript order will cost.  Your card will only be charged after your order has been completed.  Transcripts are sent shortly after payment is processed.  Transcripts sent electronically cost $7 plus any special processing fee requested.

Transcript Holds

If you receive a notification that your student account has a hold, please contact the Registrar’s Office registrar@jwcc.edu. Once resolved, the Registrar’s Office will continue to process the official transcript. Requests are to be made through the National Student Clearinghouse. The College has established fees to cover the cost of processing official transcripts, which are published above and in the catalog.

Effective May 27, 2022, Public Act 102-0998, along with the Student Debt Assistance Act (110 ILCS 66/15), effective June 9, 2023, mandates that all public and private institutions of higher education must provide an official transcript to a current or former student even if they owe a debt, under specific conditions. These conditions include requests made for completing a:

  1. job application,
  2. transferring to another institution,
  3. applying for state, federal, or institutional financial aid,
  4. joining the United States Armed Forces or Illinois National Guard, or
  5. pursuing other postsecondary opportunities.

However, students with outstanding financial liabilities to the College will not be allowed to register for additional classes. Payment arrangements for unpaid balances can be made by contacting the Business Office.
