An internship is an ideal opportunity for a JWCC student to experience a prospective career path and earn college credit.  Students can gain practical experience by applying methods and theories learned in the classroom.  Exploring is an important part of the academic process and this is one way to develop and refine skills.

Internships can be paid or unpaid and range from 80 – 320 hours on the job.  Career Services will help connect you with potential internship opportunities in your area of study.

What JWCC students have to say…

My internship gave me good insight to what the field I was studying had to offer. Not only did it give me a chance to practice what I had learned, it also gave me a chance to gain a little experience, ultimately landing a job at the place I was interning. Great all around experience!

So far in my internship, I have learned a lot.  I think I am better prepared to transfer to a 4-year university.  I also already have a much clearer idea of what I want to do with my degree after I graduate.
