The John Wood Campus located in Quincy, IL, is a beautiful 150-acre, state-of-the-art campus. The development of the core campus is a milestone in the progress of JWCC.
Science and Technology Center
The 35,200-square-foot Science and Technology Center houses state-of-the-art classrooms and labs for the natural sciences, health sciences and computer sciences programs and faculty offices.
The Learning Center houses the Academic Support Center (which combines the library and open learning center), classrooms and some offices.
The Student/Administrative Center houses the student lounge and cafeteria, the bookstore, classrooms, additional administrative offices, and student services.
Paul Heath Community Education and Fine Arts Center
The Paul Heath Center houses the College's community education and adult education/literacy programs, fine arts programs, JWCC Foundation and Advancement office. The Paul Heath Center also includes an auditorium that seats 293.
Student Activity Center
The Student Activity Center, which opened in 2006, further enhances the campus and athletic program. The facility includes a gymnasium that can seat 1,800 persons for special events plus a weight room, a classroom, locker rooms, and a team training room. The site also includes a baseball field, a softball field, and additional parking.
The greenhouse serves as a working laboratory, with a small section designated as a classroom/discussion area.
Spring Valley Trails and Aboretum
The Spring Valley Trails and Arboretum area just southeast of the Quincy campus provides three small trails, outdoor classroom and wildflower and butterfly gardens.
